It’s always a pleasure for Sodern’s teams to get news on such groundbreaking space missions.
Equiped with our hardened Hydra Star Tracker for precise attitude control of the spacecraft, we’ve received in last December Europa Clipper’s first images of stars captured from space !
We have supported Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory in analysing the images, ensuring that the performance of the equipment was fully nominal. JPL has posted the result of this analysis, signifying the succesful checkout of our star tracker.
