Need Help Choosing?

Sodern’s scientific cameras are specifically designed for specialized missions, such as JUICE and MSR (Mars Sample Return).

Sodern designs cameras for all orbits, including highly complex environments exposed to radiation, stray light, and mechanical and thermal stresses.

With more than 25 years of experience in space imaging, we have developed scientific cameras optimized for specialized missions.

NAV CAM - ESA JUICE Mission

Launched in 2022, the NAV CAM will capture images of Jupiter’s moons against a stellar background, optimizing guidance and precision control during overflights in a highly radioactive environment.

NARROW ANGLE CAMERA - NASA/ESA MSR Mission

For the Mars Sample Return (MSR) campaign, and specifically the Earth Return Orbiter (ERO) mission, Sodern’s NAC camera will play a crucial role in locating  the sample's container in orbit around Mars, allowing it's capture to bring back the sample on Earth.

All our products undergo Space Qualification, involving stringent testing under extreme conditions to ensure robustness and high performances
