Applications of neutron technology

Reservoir monitoring for oil and gas
the neutron tube is used in various logging tools used to monitor oil extraction.

Bulk material analysis
material is carried on a conveyor belt which passes through a system equipped with a neutron tube. This type of system is used in cement plants, as well as coal, iron and nickel mines, etc.

Geochemical logging for mining
Used to measure boreholes to estimate resources before extraction and later provide grade control for material processing.

Nuclear waste reprocessing
Used to monitor correct reprocessing of nuclear waste.

The Sodilog plus neutron tube is a metal ceramic vacuum-sealed component including an ion source, a target, and a gas replenisher/getter device.

Neutron generators
Neutron Generator - Genie 35
The Genie 35 is a high-flux autonomous neutron generator. It consists of a neutron emission module, a control and power supply cabinet, a cooler, and control and safety software. The operator can select the emission mode (continuous or pulsed). Depending on the requirement, the emission module is equipped with either a TN36 D-T tube (14 MeV) or a D-D tube (2.5 MeV).
Song150 - Neutron emitting module
Song150 is a built-in neutron emitting module for pulsed neutron logging tool, consisting of one stainless steel housing with 14 MeV Sodilog sealed neutron tube, VHV power supply and a ion source pulser.
- Lifetime of more than 1000 hours at nominal set point
- Ruggedized design for 1’11/16 logging tool
- Suitable for high-frequency pulsed emission (Sigma, C/O, ...)
- Qualified for 150°C operation
