On the occasion of National Day Against Sexism on January 25, we are proud to announce our new partnership with the association Elles bougent!
Created in 2006 to encourage young girls to pursue careers in scientific, technical, and industrial fields, Elles bougent takes concrete action to reduce gender inequalities and promote diversity in sectors that are still predominantly male.At Sodern, in our industry, we are particularly concerned by these issues.
Women are still underrepresented, especially in technical and engineering roles. This partnership is fully in line with our commitment to professional equality, gender diversity, and fighting stereotypes.
Through this collaboration, our employees will be able to
- Engage in awareness-raising actions,
- Participate in events with middle school, high school, and university students,
- Promote inspiring career paths in the aerospace and neutronics industries.
Key Figures – Why Act in Our Sectors?
- Women represent less than a third of the workforce in scientific and technical professions,
- In aerospace, their share is even smaller in engineering and production,
- Stereotypes influence career choices as early as middle school,
- Gender diversity boosts performance, innovation, and attractiveness.
Promoting diversity today means preparing the industry of tomorrow. “Our ambition is to deconstruct stereotypes from the training stage so that every talent, woman or man, can build their career with the same clarity, in a more inclusive, attractive, and high-performing industry.” – Sandra FEILLES, Director of Innovation and Programs at Sodern.
